In the tradition of artist-run record labels such as Merge and Barsuk Records, Drums & Wires Recordings grew from a scrappy, artist owned and operated music management company called D&WA launched in 2010 with the aim of promoting our own music and the music of our friends and fellow travelers.

Our friends make up a diverse and vibrant music scene that thrived in Seattle's Belltown district but has since moved to the outer boroughs of the city and beyond... and we've made new friends along the way.

As the boundary between record label and artist management becomes ever more blurred, we've evolved into a hybrid online mail-order catalog and record label dedicated to a small community of artists whose music we think you should hear.
