Llama are a band formed around Rusty Willoughby's songwriting, combining the chops and musical sensibilities of a few of the finest players in the Seattle music scene.
The band recorded two albums' worth of material, record #1 recorded by Kurt Block and the record #2 by Johnny Sangster who also performed on the recordings. Rounding out the line up is Scott Sutherland (Chemistry Set) on bass, keys and vocals and the reunion of Willoughby with his original Pure Joy drummer Jim Hunnicutt.
Llama's sound can best be described as super melodic, power pop but this doesn't quite do justice to the band's depth and breath of artistic expression.
