This is a very personal release for me, in memory of Jim Hunnicutt, a beloved Seattle musician who I first met when his band Pure Joy would organize underground shows with my band The Walkabouts in the scrappy pre-grunge days of Seattle music lore.
Jim was a sweet person who left us too soon, and I am honored to present numerous tracks that he played drums on, including songs from Pure Joy, Llama, Braly Sangster and a special song that Jim wrote and sang entitled "These Are Tough Times for Sensitive People," recorded this year under the name Honeycult.
Other artists found here include Paul Hiraga's Downpilot, Cozy Slippers, and Loose Wing.
The set also features new & exclusive recordings from Carla Torgerson of The Walkabouts (accompanied on piano by Glenn Slater), Jon Hyde, Glimmer, and The Transmissionary Six.
Thanks for listening.
